Iran's nukes

So Iran declares that is just developing safe nuclear reactors ... it says it will only focus on safe nuclear plants for energy and not for weaponization ...

but i don't get it ...

why would iran -- one of the most energy-abundant countries in the world -- developing really expensive nuclear power when they have really cheap energy (oil) they can use for everything? ...

why?

do you REALLY think Iran is telling the truth??
