i have become a huge fan of Niall Ferguson -- he's incredibly interesting. Two years ago I read Colossus and had the opportunity to meet Niall at a little meeting of a book club a foreign policy org put together. And i recently bought the two volumes of The House of Rothschild and hope to read them.

The Cash Nexus is a fascinating book about how money and power have influenced each other over the last 300 years. i highly recommend this book.
